What is Operation Christmas Child?

OCC is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse International Relief, "a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world." Franklin Graham, oldest son of Billy Graham, serves as the CEO of Samaritan's Purse and is an active evagelist around the world.

Good News. Great Joy. OCC believes that "a small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. What goes in the box is fun, but what comes out of the box is eternal." Furthermore, they believe that you can "be a part of changing lives through the power of a simple gift."

What is your role in all of this? Shiloh Baptist Church is a strategic partner in the mission of OCC. Within the area of Washington County, Shiloh serves as a "Drop-Off Location" for OCC shoebox donations during National Collection Week (November 16-23). Below are times listed for drop-off or for an opportunity to serve in welcoming guests who are delivering boxes. We are also actively participating to collect boxes from Shiloh Church members. Creating a box is simple.
